A photoshoot can be incredibly fun. For others, they can incite minor panic attacks, particularly when considering what to wear for a photoshoot. One of the most important thing that can break or make your photoshoot is CLOTHING, it also plays a major role in capturing these memories, and it can be one of the most fun aspects of putting together a great shoot, whether indoor or outdoor

Here are a few tips to help you look your best on the big day;

Evergreen outfit:
Always bear in mind to wear outfit colors that never go out of time, keep it simple and stick to solid colors so your outfit isn’t the first thing we notice, a good example of evergreen color is Black, grey, etc.

Wear what you love:
With experiences, I have come to realize that there is a special kind vibe that comes out naturally whenever you wear what you love or you are comfortable in and that is why I always recommend clients to wear clothes they love and feel great in. When you feel great about what you’re wearing, it makes a huge difference in the camera. If you’re wearing something you feel slightly unsure about, it will show we would much prefer you to be confident. Even if you’re making a point of wearing something out of the ordinary, try to make sure you’re ready to rock it before you step in front of the camera.

Remember Less Is More
In terms of makeup, I suggest simple and light makeup, unless you’re going for an extreme look.
We have an in-house makeup artist that can make sure your makeup game is on point. Also on the accessories, stud earrings like pearl, diamonds or gemstones are often the best, cause big jewellery draws attention away from you and your photoshoot should be all about you.
For men; don’t forget to groom your hair.

At this point, you should have some idea of what to wear to a photo shoot, but you may still be wondering what my reasoning is for all of these pieces of advice. All of these suggestions are given for the same reason: to draw attention to your faces and not your clothing. The best clothing choices are the ones that don’t draw attention before your face. These aren’t guidelines to make your life harder or micromanage how you choose to appear.

However, they are safe bets if you want your portraits to represent you across time.

Trust me; Ijeworks will make sure your portraits are beautiful and timeless.
